Travel Psychology: A Practical Guide to Travel, Science and Awareness
Understanding your Travel Psychology brings evidence-based knowledge and practical strategies to all those individuals aspiring to instill a healthy lifestyle through travel in themselves as well as in their journeys, clients, family, and friends. This course explores the past, present and future of travel psychology as a journey through the key scientific leaps led by Mitesh Jain from a knowledgeable perspective to understand the processes of Travel Psychology
(1) learn what travel psychology is and why it's worth studying;
(2) take a "snapshot" of your thinking at the start of the course;
(3) see how perceptions of reality are psychologically constructed; and
(4) witness the shocking speed at which travel
judgements are made.

Travel Psychology: Travel Tangible Tool with Applications and Interventions
Positive Travel interventions are one of the building blocks for the application of Travel psychology in our day-to-day lives. In this course, we explore positive interventions through theory, research and practice. We provide learners the basic tools for using and measuring Travel psychology in professional or personal contexts. Travel Tangible Tool (TTT) insights gathers the resources of every journey as it happens and guides to moderate the travellers travel life for enhancing wellbeing.
(1) learn how people explain their travel intentions and the destination motives;
(2) explore the link between travel attitudes and daily life behavior;
(3) understand what cognitive embodiment is and why it matters in travel life; and
(4) gain some awareness from the science of culture, emotional, behavioural influence

Module 3
Travel Psychology: Legit travel Model, Character and Travel Analysis
Learners discover how to apply research methods to their study of Travel Psychology. In this course, we study through an exploration of their work "LEGIT Model" and interviews with researchers and practitioners, you develop a research hypothesis and learn how to understand the difference between internal and external validity. You also begin to understand and apply the strengths and weaknesses associated with different types of measurements and evaluation designs. You then interpret the results in an empirical study.
(1) understand the psychological dynamics of obedience to travel authority;
(2) review travel case studies on group pressure and conformity;
(3) learn about the dark side of travel deindividuation; and
(4) consider ethical issues related to psychology research in travel.
Suggested prerequisites: Module 1 and 2.

Module 4
Travel Psychology Specialization Project: Design Your Travel Life for Well-being
You are encouraged to take the first three courses of the Foundations of Travel Psychology Specialization before starting this course and completing the Specialization Project. This course brings all the key concepts from the first three courses to practice as you develop and test a new positive intervention for an audience of your choice. You identify opportunities in your travel life to increase the wellbeing by using knowledge you developed in the first three courses of the Specialization. In this final project, you evaluate the efficacy of a positive travel psychology intervention based on subjective and objective measures. Then, you compare how empirical and non-empirically-based travel psychology interventions can be applied to influence a person's wellbeing. Lastly, you reflect on how the fundamental elements of research methods are important in the everyday application of Travel psychology.
(1) examine travel dynamics within and between destination and person;
(2) see what happens when people fall prey to the Abilene Paradox;
(3) apply about intentional wander, social loafing, groupthink, and group polarization; and
(4) learn effective ways to reduce negatives and enhance wellbeing through travel in life.
(5) Includes practical internship at Mandeha, its optional.
